Interview with LEVENTS: “Just be patient, dare to think, dare to do.”

  • 2022-04-25
  • Cross-talk with NANA

In this issue, we welcome LEVENTS a brand filled with youthful spirit. Discussing the challenges in finding who you really are, LEVENTS inspires us to keep on doing what we are passionate about and finding the beauty in consistency.

Nana : What is the story behind the beginning of LEVENTS?

LEVENTS : Levents® – means wind; The brand name is insprired by “ “Le vent se lève, il faut tenter de vivre”. We are a popular streetwear brand loved by young people. We are a young team who are passionate with Streetwear, and also has a passion in working together to take on the mission of “Bringing the latest trends in world fashion to Vietnamese youth quickly, conveniently and easily”. We also want to bring Vietnamese
fashion and brands to the world at the same time.
The style of Levents is not something too different from everyday life. Everything is made in a way that is suitable for life, but with detailed and meticulous investment that highlights the personality. Another slogan we have is “EASY STREETWEAR” which is the destination of Streetwear fashion. We help young people approach streetwear easily, quickly and conveniently.
By not only providing products, Levents also aim for their own ideals: “Becoming a leading force in Streetwear Vietnam according to our 3 criteria: Trendy – Good price – Easy Shopping

Nana : Why did you initially create the brand?

LEVENTS : Our team are people who are passionate about Streetwear fashion.
Levents® – means wind; This is the wind that brings a new breeze from ordinary things in life into more interesting inspirations put into the design. In addition, the wind is also a symbol of how quickly young people can approach the trend and the latest Streetwear fashion direction.
Finally, the Double “e” symbol is a smiley face that shows a cheerful, witty, comfortable spirit that carries the spirit of young people and “EASY STREETWEAR” – the brand’s slogan.

Nana : What are some of the inspirations behind the brand?

LEVENTS : The inspiration to make Levents as well as the beginning and birth of Levents is from the most daily things in life. The image of young people walking down the street, the way you express your style and the thing that most clearly shows the difference, the voice and spirit of each young person is the T-shirt you are wearing. That is the inspiration for the establish of Levents. We believe that the product is the core, a good product is a beautiful product, beautiful is to show the style and lifestyle of the person wearing that shirt.
With Streetwear fashion, the image of a printed T-shirt is the most familiar and recognizable image. So that was how Levents was born and how we developed the style of Streetwear fashion for young Vietnamese and one that can be easily and quickly approached.

.

Nana : What is something that your brand value the most?

LEVENTS : Hard-working: Hard work is the first element, maybe you not be excellent at the beginning, but if you work hard, it means you will constantly learn and improve day by day.
Young team, trendy: Because it is a youth-oriented brand, the establishment of a young staff group will make it easier to quickly catch up with the trends of the times and understand its customers. Especially young people will always want to take on challenges, not afraid to innovate and be creative.
Professional system helps the team to work in an organized, connected and creative manner and in line with the mission of bringing the Vietnamese brand to the world.

Nana : In what way do you use social media as a platform to deliver your products and designs?

LEVENTS : We used some platform social media to transmit our message, mission, style as well as the image that shows the product. And those are the channels that are closest to young people, for our customers, the image we bring is simplicity, minimalistic but still luxurious, outstanding, lifestyle, flexing and gout of young people.
In addition, it is also a way for us to show our customers the projects we have been working on for further development in the future.

Nana : Can you tell us about some of the most challenging experiences you have had during
the process of building your brand?

ILEVENTS : The most challenging as well as the hardest thing we’ve been through is not knowing who we are.

Where will I go? What is the final destination? Those were the first stages when establishing and building Levents. Because we are young, impulsive, rebellious and like to challenge, be creative, discover new things, it’s inevitable that there are times when we feel uncertain. But also because we are young, we are not afraid of difficulties and we continue to move forward to find out the mission we have followed and will follow to the end.

Nana : How do you decide on the themes of your colections?

LEVENTS : Popular culture is a factor that influences a lot of our collections and projects. As a brand for young people, the approach and reception of trends must be fast, the latest and especially must be known, interesting, and trendy. Quickness, convenience and bringing the brand’s products to young people on time is our mission.

Nana : Can we know a little about your next collection?

LEVENTS : With the goal of reaching the world, affirming the value of Vietnamese brands that can be worthy of reaching out to the world market. In 2022, we will cooperate with foreign partners and hope we can become a more popular presence.
Please join us to look forward to the upcoming projects!

Nana : Is there a particular artist, movie, place, book that you would recommend our readers to
check for inspiration?

LEVENTS : We want to share many things with everyone because our inspiration is everything that is happening in our daily lives. If we had to choose, we would like to share the following highlights:
The first, a book: Artbook by Virgil Abloh, which talk about his creative life, giving us insight into his thinking process, how he looks at creativity as a whole, and streetwear in particular.
The second, about people: Virgil Abloh inspired us on creative thinking, and Jil sander inspired us about the complicated process of thinking in minimalism.
And, Place: we look at the world around us, from the street, coffee shops, popular places where the youth gather, or simple things in
our bedroom, or office. Everything surrounding a teenager’s life can be a material for us to explore and use to build our brand’s aesthetic.

Nana : Do you have any advice for our readers who are seeking to find a way to build a
distinct and clear brand like “IFIK”?

LEVENTS : “what ever u think, can be real”

This is always a saying we always say to each other, it sounds simple, but making it simple is the process of finding our way, as long as you have passion. Just be patient, dare to think, dare to do.

.

“whatever u think, can be real”
